C-1205 (CAUTI)

C-1205 uses Bacterial Interference to prevent CAUTIs. The active ingredient of the product is a naturally-occurring strain of E. coli that is able to colonize bladders and prevent infections. This E. coli has been used clinically to prevent CAUTIs in patients with neurogenic bladders, such as spinal cord injury patients. There is extensive clinical data demonstrating the bacterium's ability to prevent CAUTIs.

This technology was licensed from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. ConjuGon is collaborating with Dr. Rabih Darouiche of Baylor. Dr. Darouiche has conducted extensive laboratory and clinical research with this bacterium.
