Gary Greenwood
Mr. Greenwood founded Rosetta Partners with Paul Evans. Rosetta Partners is a private investment firm focused exclusively on biotechnology investments. In addition to select private equity commitments, Rosetta manages an investment fund of publicly traded biotechnology companies for qualified institutional and individual investors. Rosetta Partners LLC is located in Lake Forest, Illinois.
Richard R. Burgess, Ph.D.
Dr. Burgess co-founded ConjuGon in 2001 with Dr. Marcin Filutowicz. He is the founder and former director of the University of Wisconsin Biotechnology Center and is one of the leading authorities on bacterial transcription, RNA polymerases and transcription factors. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Dr. James D. Watson at Harvard University. Dr. Burgess also has considerable business experience as a board member of six biotechnology and biomedical investment companies.
Anthony Clemento, Jr.
Anthony Clemento is the founding member of A. Clemento & Associates LLC, a pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical consulting company. Mr. Clemento has an Adjunct Professor appointment from the School of Medical and Public Health, University of Wisconsin-Madison, in the Master of Science in Biotechnology Program. Before founding A. Clemento & Associates LLC, Mr. Clemento was Vice President, Scientific and Regulatory Consulting, Covance Consulting Services. Prior to joining Covance, Mr. Clemento was a Vice President at Seragen. Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibility in related disciplines at Bristol-Myers, Schering-Plough, and Centocor.
Alicia Löffler
Alicia Löffler is professor of biotechnology and director of the Biotechnology Center at the Kellogg School of Management. A trained scientist, she directed the science-based Center for Biotechnology at Northwestern University and developed many programs in education and science that integrated science and business. Löffler serves on numerous boards of nonprofit and for-profit organizations and often consults for start-up companies.
Thomas Rolfs
Tom is a member of the Wisconsin Investment Partners, an organized angel group that focuses on life science startup companies. He is also a partner in Red Top Capital LLC. Tom serves on the Board of Directors for several portfolio companies controlled by Red Top Capital. Prior to working at Red Top Capital, Tom worked at Robert W. Baird and Co. for over twenty years in the institutional bond sales department. He holds an Industrial Engineering degree B.S. and MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Carl Spalding
Mr. Spalding is past President and Chief Operating Officer of PAREXEL, a publicly-traded, $600 million+ global CRO and biopharmaceutical outsourcing company. Prior to joining PAREXEL, Mr.
Spalding held senior positions at major healthcare companies, including Cardinal Health, Abbott Laboratories/Ross Products Division, and Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Spalding has also served as a Director of Millipore and is currently a Director of Prologue, an oncology based CRO.
