Developing Fundamentally New Ways to Combat Bacterial Infections

The rise of drug-resistant strains of pathogenic bacteria is quickly becoming a health problem of crisis proportions. Virtually all experts agree that entirely new approaches are needed to go beyond the use of traditional antibiotics. Fundamentally new, even radical, anti-microbial agents are necessary to kill pathogenic bacteria while minimizing the ability of the bacteria to develop resistance.

ConjuGon, a Madison, Wisconsin-based biotechnology company, is developing key technologies for the prevention and treatment of such resistant, bacterial infections. Based on research done at leading medical institutions like the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Baylor College of Medicine, ConjuGon has novel, proprietary, and effective technologies for preventing and treating resistant infections.
