Laboratory Technician - Part Time
ConjuGon seeks a part-time Lab Technician to work in its research laboratory. This position is for 10-15 hours per week during the school year and full-time over the summer. ConjuGon’s lab is located in the University Research Park on the west side of Madison.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Pursuing a BS in a scientific major.
• Some lab experience is strongly preferred.
• The person must be a team-player, flexible, and willing to work on different things.
• The person must have a schedule that will allow them to work consistent hours each week (10 to 15 hours).
Duties:
The Lab Technician will support ConjuGon’s scientists in its research lab. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Lab and equipment cleanliness and maintenance including:
• Buffer preparation - prepare solutions and make dilutions.
• Cleaning the glassware, test tubes, pipettes, plates, benches, and other lab equipment and supplies. This will include running an autoclave.
• Timely maintenance of inventory of supplies and reagents.
