Bacterial Interference

Bacterial Interference can be defined as the concept of one bacterial species interfering with another bacterial species and preventing it from colonizing (and causing infection) in a host. This concept has been studied for decades by a number of researchers. Research has been done to attempt to prevent otitis media, vaginosis, dental caries, gastrointestinal infections, and urinary tract infections by using Bacterial Interference.

ConjuGon has developed a product to use Bacterial Interference to prevent catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
